All you need to know about PM JAY – Featured, Benefits, Inclusion & Exclusions
India is a developing country, and measures are being taken everyday for easy access to healthcare. Every Indian should have access to quality healthcare, regardless of their income level. Although this is the ideal situation, it is not entirely in place yet. The introduction of the PM JAY in Gujarat is one such move in the right direction. The government wants to make it possible for customers to access high-quality healthcare through this programme.
The Mukhyamanti Amrutum Yojana (MA Yojana), a health initiative established by the Gujarat state government on September 4th, 2012, aims to give BPL (Below Poverty Line) households in Gujarat financial assistance so they can access the best medical and surgical care possible for their ailments. A cashless health card is provided to beneficiaries so they can use it to access the program’s advantages.
The Gujarat state government expanded the program’s advantages when the public recognised its value. Currently, it covers households earning up to INR 4,00,000 annually. The programme is now known as the Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalaya Yojana.
Families in Gujarat that earn less and live below the poverty line are given financial assistance through this programme. This plan was eventually altered to accommodate lower middle-class families in the state, even though it was initially created for families living below the poverty level.
